About BIS:

Bergen Improstorband is a band collective in Bergen joining musicians with an interest in learning about, experimenting with and exploring improvisation in a large group setting. The band is led by Ole André Farstad and John Hegre and this album is a manifestation of two of the many projects BIS has realized during its seven years of existence. It has been a pleasure to work with Per Zanussi and Knut Vaage on these pieces, two very different approaches, equally interesting and challenging. Iver Sandøy did a great job in recording and post production, and we are proud to present the result on this album wrapped in beautiful cover art by Robert Høyem.
